Life Calling and Leadership Workshop
I'm down at Indiana Wesleyan University for a two day Life Calling & Leadership Workshop. I'm considering a major switch for the Senior Bible class next fall and this workshop will highlight some of the materials I've been considering. I'm looking forward to a few days of being a student instead of a teacher.

Best Variety Show Ever!
Every year we have a Variety Show here at JCHS where the students get to put together skits, songs, and really whatever they want that showcases their talents. This years show was outstanding and even had a SNL type intro skit to lead into the opening. Lots of creativity and tons of fun. The Royal Players did a fabulous job on their several skits and it's always fun to see what Steve D. will come up with for his annual skit (this year was "Double 0 Devereaux" featuring... you guessed it - Steve"). I sure will miss that next year. My son still talks about the light saber fight from last year's parody of star wars. Steve has left some big shoes to fill for the up and coming skit writers here at JCHS. If you are out there... you had better get your act together.

Dissapointing Loss

The Royals showed up tonight hopeful for a chance to walk away with another victory and to walk on to center court at the Breslin Center on Thursday. Unfortunately, Tri-Unity's Defenders (a fitting title for the defending state champs) were not ready to give up another opportunity to play on Michigan State's home court. Early on it was made clear that nobody was going to be walking anywhere. It was a hard fought game but the Royals struggled to recover from the 17 point halftime deficit. Tri-Unity showed poise the entire game. They have some really great players and whoever faces them next will have their work cut out for them. Great Season Royals!

Regional Champs!

Last night JCS took home the Regional Championship Trophy in Boys Basketball. I was at the game in Hillsdale and watched anxiously as we pulled through to a 59-56 victory over Redford Covenant. Get the whole story here, or here. The Royals play the quarterfinal game Tuesday night against Wyoming's Tri-Unity.
