A Great Meeting

Tonight I had an awesome meeting with our Costa Rica team. We met at the home of one of the adult leaders going on the trip and she happens to be a gourmet chef... So, she whipped up some tamales that were to die for along with palm heart salad and cilantro creme sauce. I'm pretty sure that I am now spoiled and am destined to be disappointed with the food we actually get in Costa Rica.

Aside from the great food... tonight just felt great. The mood was light yet sincere. I'm getting a sense that the team is starting to feel more comfortable with each other and I am feeling a real team spirit beginning to develop. I drove home as excited as I've ever been about making this trip. There is something energizing to me about leading students on mission trips. It's been a while since I've felt energized about anything, so right now that is a really big deal.

Costa Rica Trip Announcement

Last spring I led a group of 13 students from JCHS on a mission trip to Guatemala. We had an incredible experience. You can read about it here. This June I'll be taking 13 students to San Jose, Costa Rica. I've created a separate blog for the team and our adventures. You can check that out here.
