A different way to pray

"I want to learn how to live so that to see someone is to pray for them." - Frank Laubach

I've been trying to practice this kind of prayer presence lately, specifically this week. I've been somewhat successful today (if we can use such a word as "successful" in reference to prayer). For example, I've simply tried to, when setting my eyes on someone, speak, "Lord Jesus, Tommy". It is difficult at times when I see a lot of people at once. I try, however, to focus on one among the masses and say this simple prayer for them. I am finding that even whom I allow my eyes fall on becomes an act of prayer and trust in God. Even without words I try to simply trust Him to direct me to individual kids as I pass them in groups, then I speak a name to Him.

Now I am praying for you.
