Last night I finally finished (all but the appendix) Total Truth: Liberating Christiansity from It's Cultural Captivity by Nancy Pearcey. There is no way to briefly summarize all of the concepts that she touched on. I will say that I was really struck by her retelling of the beginnings and early history of Francis Shaffer's L'Abri. Pearcey left me thirsty to learn more about Shaeffer's life and teaching. If you are not familiar with it you ought to check it out. I had a good friend recently visit L'Abri in Boston. It's funny how I just happened to be reading this book at this time.

pardon me... but i think it's spelled "schaeffer". we get a little testy about the zillion different ways to spell our last name.
